This 4-hour course is a combination of lectures, firearms handling, and shooting. The shooting experience will allow you to receive a "Live-Fire" stamp on your LTC which is a requirement in Springfield and Chicopee.

If you're married or live with your partner and you keep a handgun or large-capacity rifle/shotgun in the dwelling, your spouse or partner should have a LTC.
If you will be inheriting a handgun or large-capacity rifle/shotgun you should get your LTC.

There is a big difference between a $50 non-shooting course and a Live-Fire course that offers a minimum of three (3) firearms to build confidence and promote safe weapons handling.
Participants will shoot revolvers and/or semi-automatic handguns in the following calibers:
You will also shoot either a 410 or a 20 gauge shotgun to receive a "Live-Fire" stamp on your LTC.
Chicopee and Springfield require a Live-Fire stamp on the certificate to process an LTC.
